What is Cirq bridal and how does it work?

Cirq Bridal gives past brides the opportunity to recuperate some of the expense of their wedding dress by selling their dress to brides-to-be who are looking for a more eco-friendly or economical way to buy their dream wedding dress at a reduced cost.

Cirq bridal believes in sustainability within the bridal industry. As well as this, we believe in being able to offer more affordable wedding dress options for brides to be and helping brides recoup some of the cost of their wedding dress, especially in our current economic climate.

We believe buying a preloved wedding dress should be no different to buying new so we showcase our brides preloved dresses in our beautiful boutique in Naas, County Kildare. We offer brides the 'bridal boutique' experience, allowing them to visit the boutique with their bridal group and try on the wedding dresses, feel the fabric, ensure the style and fit suits them. 

How much will it cost to sell my wedding dress?

There are no listing fee's for your dress and we operate using a no sell, no fee policy. We will collect your dress from anywhere in Ireland free of charge and return it safely to you should it not sell in store.

When we secure a buyer for your dress we will take a commission amount for selling your dress for you (between 30-50% after VAT has been deducted), which has been agreed with you in your contract prior to the dress being showcased in store and then forward you the rest of the money.

What are the conditions of sale of my dress?

Your dress must have been dry cleaned before being collected and be in a 'like new' condition with all blemishes or damage declared. We will offer you a quotation for a selling price, commission for the boutique and the amount that you can expect to receive when it is sold. We will then send you a contract with full terms and conditions.

Cirq bridal will then collect your dress from your free of charge and showcase your dress in store for an initial period agreed in your contract. If your dress sells we will notify you immediately, keep our agreed portion of commission for selling the dress on your behalf and forward you the rest.

What if my dress does not sell in the initial agreed time period?

We operate a no sell, no fee policy so if after the initial period you would like your dress back, we will safely return it to you free of charge. Alternatively we can forward you dress on to charity at your instruction or discuss extending the selling period within the shop

However, we are confident your dress will sell through showcasing in our beautiful boutique Cirq bridal! We are in contact with a huge amount of brides and buyers, invest in marketing and all of the right places to be able to show your dress to the right people to find a buyer

Our extensive market research has shown that brides who are looking to buy second hand prefer to buy from a physical store rather than a website for a number of reasons including 

- Being able to try the dress on and ensure the style suits them and is what they are looking for (it is after all the biggest day of a Bride's life!)

- Wanting that 'Bridal boutique' experience. Being able to bring the mother of the bride and the bridesmaids to an appointment, have some prosecco and choose a dress is a huge part of being a bride and we believe buying second hand should be no different!

- Being afraid that the condition or hygiene of the dress is not up to standard

- Being unwilling to give a huge amount of money to someone they do not know online and either being scammed or receiving a dress that they are not sure suits them or is in a great condition.

What items do you accept for resale?

What condition does my item have to be in?

All clothing items must have been drycleaned (with proof) and in resalable condition. We can recommend a bridal specialist dry cleaners and have a discount code if you need it

Accessories and shoes must be clean and in a resalable condition

Please thoroughly check your items as even dry cleaning cannot fully guarantee removal of all marks/ blemishes

Any marks/ scuffs/ damage must be declared prior to requesting a quotation

Can you recommend a dry cleaners to clean my wedding dress?

Yes! We can recommend a bridal specialist dry cleaner and have a discount code for you to use

Buying

How many people can I bring to my apppointment?

Due to space in the studio you may bring up to 2 extra people with you on the day

Please note - we do not allow children (under 18s) in to the studio

Why do you charge a booking deposit for appointments?

We charge a booking deposit to ensure that each bride receives the best possible experience at our store. Here's why:

  1. Commitment to Your Appointment: Your bridal appointment is a special time reserved just for you. A deposit helps ensure that you're committed to attending, so we can dedicate our time and resources to making your experience unforgettable. Your appointment will begin with tea/coffee and/or soft drinks on arrival, a chat about your wedding day plans and then time to try on your selected dresses
  2. Exclusive, Personalised Service: We provide one-on-one attention during your appointment, with a dedicated consultant focused on helping you find your dream dress. The deposit secures this exclusive service for you.
  3. Managing Our Schedule: No-shows or last-minute cancellations can affect other brides who are eager to book an appointment. The deposit helps us maintain an efficient schedule and ensures that all brides get a fair opportunity to find their gown.
  4. Refundable with Purchase: If you purchase a gown during your appointment, the deposit will be refunded or applied to your final balance. It’s our way of saying thank you for choosing us!

This policy allows us to offer the highest level of service to every bride and make your dress shopping experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible!

How much are the dresses in store?

All dresses and accessories in store are discounted between 15-60% off of their RRP or Original purchase price

Due to the nature of the store being pre-loved, our collection changes regularly

We do not conform to any particular designer/ collection/ year/ style or budget and have a wide range to suit all!

We have dresses ranging from under €100 to over €4000 so there really is a budget for everyone

What condition are the dresses in?

All of our dresses are either:

- Pre loved

This means they have been purchased new from a bridal store and worn once on the wedding day. They will have been dry cleaned, will be in perfect or almost perfect condition and all marks/ blemishes will be disclosed to you

- Pre-owned

These dresses have been purchased as new from a bridal store by a bride but the bride has then changed her mind on the dress (usually because they want to change style or have changed their venue etc). These dresses are therefore brand new (usually with tags) and have never been worn

- Ex-sample dresses

These dresses are ex-sample dresses from bridal boutiques that are no longer carrying that particular style so no longer have a need for the sample to try on in store. These dresses have usually been tried on multiple times within the original boutique but we at Cirq have restored them to a fantastic, near new condition to prevent them going to storage/ landfill

Where is the studio located and is there parking?

Our beautiful bridal studio is located in Naas town centre, just off of main street.

There is a small pay and display carpark opposite the studio and another one at the back of the building opposite Supervalu. There is also paid on-street parking on Main street within view of the studio

What sizes do you carry?

We are fully inclusive and carry a wide range of sizes however this varies on what brides are looking to sell at the time!

The best way to know what sizes the dresses are in store is to check our current collection which is up to date as of each Monday or join our email newsletter to receive the new items each week on a Friday before they go live on the website on the following Monday. You can join the newsletter by entering your email address in to the box at the top of this page

Please bare in mind that bridal sizing can come up a size or two smaller than high street sizing.

Do you accept returns if I change my mind?

No we do not accept returns. All items are sold as seen. If there are any blemishes/ damage etc. (which is rare) these have been taken in to account within the pricing and communicated to you during your appointment.

Should I book Cirq as my first appointment?

You are very welcome to book your first appointment with us but keep in mind our dresses are sold off the rack, ready to wear and take home the same day! We cannot hold any dresses. If you fall in love with a dress in Cirq, there can be a risk of the dress being sold if you have other appointments to attend after ours.

We are perfect for brides with shorter time frames, who know roughly what they are looking for or even have a specific dress in mind and of course brides who have sustainability at the forefront

Dresses can be stored well for an extended period of time if looked after well. We will advise you on storage care at the time of purchase
